Weaver, spinner, dyer and fiber artist, who has completed courses in Color Theory, Warp Painting, Synthetic and Natural Dyes, and Spinning Silks.
Member of Women in the Visual and Literary Arts, Past Program Chair for Contemporary Handweavers of Houston, Workshop Director for Tall Pines Weavers and Spinners, and a member of Federation of Fiber Artists in Texas and Houston. Travels extensively demonstrating fiber arts in schools and at festivals.
Education and Employment:
Attended Oklahoma Baptist University majoring in business, and has been the owner of a lawn and landscape equipment business for 17 years.
Presently employed at Rice University, Houston, Texas as a staff assistant in the Computer and Information Technology Institute.
Has completed college courses in Design, Drawing, Watercolor, Color Composition, Painting I and II, Ceramics, Art Appreciation and Art History Survey I and II.
Attended Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg, TN in August of 1999 studying under Dr. Carlos Ferguson of Ithaca University, Ithaca, N. Y.
